BALL (55+ Social Fellowship)

Be Active, Live Longer (BALL)  BALL is a fellowship opportunity for those 55+ that generally meets on the third Wednesdays monthly during the school year for fun social events. BALL is open to both members and visitors from the community. 

2025-2026 BALL Events

September 17 – Potluck: National Country Music Day; fried chicken will be provided

October 4 – Day trip – Graves Mountain Apple Festival (cost is $5)

October 15 – Day trip – Colonial Williamsburg; lunch at Shield’s Tavern in Colonial Williamsburg (cost is $31.50 for admission plus lunch)

November 19 – Potluck: Thanksgiving; turkey will be provided

December 17 – Potluck: Christmas; roast beef and ham will be provided

January 21 – Day trip – National Museum of the Marine Corps; lunch at Tub Tavern (there is no cost for this trip)

February 18 – Potluck: Upscale Hors D’oeuvres 

March 18 – Potluck: St. Patrick’s Day theme

April 15 – Day trip – Monticello; lunch at Monticello Café (cost is $42 for admission; lunch cost will vary, on average is about $20)

May 20 – Potluck: South of the Border
